In order to meet age eligibility requirements to compete in the 2025 State Pageant, a Contestant must be at least 13 years of age and must not be older than 18 years of age as of the day she competes, is crowned or appointed as the Local or State Titleholder.

**LOCK-IN**

• If a contestant is deemed eligible to participate and applies and is appointed a Volunteer title to our at-large state pageant, her eligibility is then “locked-in” and she will remain eligible through that title’s cycle, not to exceed the National Finals. This includes age and residency eligibility.

Eligibility

• Miss Ohio Sweetheart represents the Miss Ohio Volunteer Organization at the National Sweetheart Pageant held in Hoopston, Illinois over Labor Day weekend. This honor is awarded to the highest placing runner-up contestant who agrees PRIOR TO the Miss Ohio Volunteer pageant that she will accept the responsibilities of the role. The National Sweetheart pageant has a rich history of preparing young women for success in pageantry by giving them a national pageant experience.

• 6 (Teen) or 10 (Miss) minutes to show the judges your personality, achievements, and aspirations for the future. Scoring is not based on contestant’s opinion, but on her communication skills, ability to command a room, and potential to fulfill the job as Miss Ohio Teen Volunteer or Miss Ohio Volunteer.

Phases of Competition

• Focus is not on size or shape, in active wear (Teen) or swimsuit (Miss), but on the ability to challenge herself to achieve higher levels of health, energy, wellness, and purpose to integrate all aspects of mind, body, and spirit.

• This is your time to shine! Show the judges 90 seconds of a talent style of your choosing. Judges look for entertainment value, quality, and stage performance.

• Designed to feature YOU, and not the dress. Shows poise, confidence, stage presence and grace on stage.
